There's a new medical condition in America that could cause diabetes, heart problems, or many types of degenerative disease. Many Americans already have the disorder. You could be one of them. Fortunately, there's an easy way to stop it. And it works immediately.

Authors of a study published in the prestigious Journal of the American College of Cardiology, discovered the condition. They said it is a condition where food causes "exaggerated abnormal spikes in blood glucose and lipids." The condition is prandial (post meal) dysmetabolism. In other words, these foods derange your metabolism. The condition causes metabolic syndrome and diabetes.

But it gets much worse than that. It also induces immediate free radical (oxidant) stress (i.e., inflammation). Modern medicine stresses that inflammation is at the root of most degenerative diseases. That means prandial dysmetabolism could be the root cause of most degenerative diseases. Here's why:

When you eat certain foods, it causes spikes in your blood sugar and triglycerides. The higher the spikes, the greater the damage to the all-important endothelial (inner lining) cells in your arteries. It's a direct relationship. It also acutely inflames your atherosclerosis. Your blood gets thicker and more likely to clot. And your sympathetic nervous system, which controls involuntary bodily functions (such as your heart beat), goes on overdrive. This overworks your heart and raises your blood pressure.

The amazing thing about this condition is that you can stop it immediately simply by avoiding these certain foods. In fact, the authors of the study said, "Dietary improvements are associated with dramatic and immediate benefits in postprandial dysmetabolism (emphasis added)."

The fact that this condition is popping up in the U.S. should tell you right away what these foods are that you need to avoid. Simply put, it's the typical American diet. The authors called the diet "highly processed, calorie dense, nutritionally depleted." In other words, processed carbohydrates and starches.

Instead, the authors recommend a diet that mirrors the advice I've repeated in these pages. If you've adopted my advice over the past eight years, you've spared your vascular system a lot of damage. If you haven't, it's not too late. Remember, the results are "dramatic and immediate."
