Everyone knows that pollution can cause physical ailments, particularly those associated with the lungs.
But new evidence suggests that it can literally pollute the way we think.
A trio of researchers from Beijing Normal University, Yale University, and Peking University has found a link between air pollution and cognitive decline.
They noted that the decline becoming worse over time is a strong indicator of air pollution being the cause rather than other sources. They also found some statistical evidence that pollution was also a factor in the rate of neurodegenerative diseases.
It’s not hard to imagine that the toxins we breathe in could have a negative effect on our nervous system over time. So, if you live in a polluted area, it makes all the sense in the world to detoxify as much as you can. The best way to do this at home is to perform aerobic exercise regularly. Saunas can also help.
Yours for better health,
